Compared with open surgery, the laparoscopic approach generally involves smaller scars, less postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay of one to two days, and a faster return to normal activity, typically within two to four weeks. Patients traveling to India for laparoscopic hysterectomy typically plan a stay of about two weeks to allow the surgical team to monitor recovery and confirm healing before international travel.
